November and National Novel Writing Month are a week away so it is time to prep for the ordeal of writing 50,000 words in 30 days. I’m a panster which means I don’t outline or plan or even know what is going to happen when I start writing. It works for Stephen King so why not? The good news is that I write about the same imaginary town/location in each NaNoWriMo so I know the world right down to the color of the upholstery in the booths of the local diner and how many aisles are in the town’s only grocery store. Even the people and time-frame have stayed the same, although the stories have changed from novel to novel.
I will post a status report after the first week on whether I think I will make the 50,000 word goal. I think in six-years, I am only at a 50% success rate.
